Holiday turmoil
It’s hard to plan for a holiday these days. It is not about the leave I am talking about. It’s where to go. With natural disasters everywhere, it is scary to even step out of Singapore. Even our neighbouring country Malaysia is not spared from its own disasters. So how now?
Bali was our initial plan since we have not been very consistent in retaining that annual Bali holiday thingy. But Bali being in Indonesia and was near where most of the disasters struck, it was still a ‘red’ zone. Other destinations which came to mind was Sabah in Malaysia and of course the many many beautiful islands in Thailand. Then there was of course KL la. But I really want a beach holiday. The husband suggested Tioman and that is still in the works. Need to recce what Tioman is all about first. I’m kinda sick of a drive-by holiday actually. I want a jet setting holiday please dear husband.
Sweet Tooth
Craving for these gorgeous macarons right about now. Unhealthy I know especially for me who is on a maintenance diet. So who would be so kind now to get me these?

Joker
He’ll be coming here again to perform for 2 nights (they just added a second night due to overwhelming response). The last time that he came tickets were sold out damn fast that I didn’t even know that he was staging a show (got to know after the tickets were sold out..bummer). And this year, I knew that he was coming but I did not know when the tickets were on sale UNTIL it SOLD OUT AGAIN. Well not entirely sold out. The tickets that were left were restricted view seats which me and the husband did not want to risk. So we were left feeling dejected AGAIN. Until today when the papers stated that he was going to perform for a second night! Now now we do not want to miss out on this opportunity again do we? Thus being the kiasu me, naturally I pulled some strings WHICH I WILL NOT DIVULGE HERE… Nyah hah!!
Ok ok so who am I talking about? Who is this famous person? (I realised not everybody knows him though.. an example would be my bff..DUH) Well its none other that RUSSELL PETERS the stand up comedian. He tells jokes that make you laugh from the beginning till the end. His antics, his expressions are priceless. Well if you still don’t know who he is..go to YOUTUBE and find out. You’ll laugh yourself silly and get addicted soon enough. And you’ll know why his shows are always SOLD OUT.
Splurge
Never have I found a beauty product which suits me. And when I find that particular product, I’ll cherish it and use it for years. You could say I’m a one woman product kinda person. I know that the price of this product is a tad steep but it has been my companion for years and it has never let me down. Vast improvement I would say. oh and it lasts me for at least 6 months which is well damn worth it laa. This is what I am talking about.
The slogan says it all..DON’T MAKE HER WAIT (as in don’t wait too long) Huge benefits come in small jars. I am just sharing what I deem best for myself. Its magic in a jar. Absolutely powerful.
Battleship
The movie had me at the edge of my seat anticipating what was coming next scene after scene. Yeap the movie was as expected. It was damn good. Although I did not recognise the lead actor (he was so good-looking and suave) I am pretty sure that after this he’ll definately be a hit. His name by the way is Taylor Kitsch.
Rihanna played her part well too. For a singer, that is quite an achievement. More roles for her soon too I hope.
The so called aliens in the movie was very much like us humans. Not scary at all me thinks. No gooey alien blood and gore. More of transformers like fighting with guns,missiles and bombs alike. Just the way an action pack alien movie should be. I wonder if there would be a sequeal. It’ll definately be a blast. Shall not reveal too much in case there are others who have not watched it yet. You know what you have to do now folks. Go watch it!
1st Lesson
We had our very first lesson today. An introduction to why or the need to go and fullfill that last task. Personally it was an eye opener for me. And the more in depth the ustadz gave his sermon the more determined I was to have mine and the husband’s dream fullfilled. insya-ALLAH
1 lesson down 20 more to go. We can do it hubby!
